About Us

The Charity and Trustees

Our village hall is a charity.  It relies on voluntary support from members of the community willing to undertake the role of trustee and custodian.  They are responsible for maintaining the charity’s original objectives which are to provide a communal place that promotes social, educational and recreational activity.  They are also responsible for the village hall building and all its grounds, including extensions and front and rear gardens.  The charity has a long term ‘tenant’ to the rear of the hall, Little Thetford Sports & Social Club.

What do we do?

Our trustees are passionate about community spirit and work hard to raise charitable income to fulfil the charity’s community objectives.  The charity receives no income from local authorities and any charitable income raised helps pay for ongoing maintenance of the building. Trustees volunteer their time and convene regularly. They undertake every task in running a community building from: events, fund raising, grant applications and village communications through to building repairs, insurance, finance, utility contracts and legal and regulatory matters.  It is a busy role and additional voluntary help from members of the community has always been appreciated.
